Yes! Dogs, especially small dogs do need a warm coat during the warm winters, especially if you live in an area where the temperature drops pretty low. Even a slight cold weather in a warmer climate does require a warm coat.
Think of it this way, even when its slightly cool, we need to to put on a sweater or coat to keep ourselves warm, comfortable and avoid getting sick and uncomfortable. This is the same thing for small dogs. They cannot keep their internal temperatures warm enough to keep themselves warm and avoid quivering or shaking.
That is why a good thick parka style coat is great and make sure it's one that will last many wear and tear, and you can use yearly. A food stylish coat is very helpful too, Why not keep your dog stylish while you're at it. We love stylish dogs.
We promise you will adore this dog parka. We do!

How to Measure
To find the best fit, it is recommended you measure your dog, there is no standard size for each breed. All our items have different size charts since they come from different manufacturers. To measure, take a measuring tape and measure your dog in inches for:
Neck: this is the measurement all the way around your dog’s neck
Chest: this is the measurement all the way around the widest part of your dog’s chest
Length: this is the area from the neck to the butt area, where the tail starts
Once you get a ‘tight’ measurement, we suggest you add 1-2” to the neck and chest area so that there is room to walk and for your dog to be comfortable. Select the closest size from the size chart for each individual item. If they are in-between sizes, go up one size.
